Dgtis' Orchestria platform is deployed on the new RECO-CT5, why did you choose Dgtis as your partner for the HMI of your micro-rectifier?
In Dgtis we found the ideal partner. First and foremost, we needed an existing software solution that was reliable, mature and scalable. What also made the difference was the high level of expertise of the Dgtis team, who really understood our needs, as demonstrated by the customer success of the first machine deployments in production since 2022.
How did you experience the project with Dgtis?
Everything went according to plan. We needed close cooperation between our R&D teams and the Dgtis team very quickly. Creating a new HMI (human-machine interface) involves a number of obstacles, which we were able to overcome together with Dgtis in a spirit that was always positive and constructive.
What did you expect from your collaboration?
Thanks to the software tools provided by Dgtis, the Recomatic Group can meet the challenges posed by the accelerating pace of digitalization in industry. How do you see the future of your collaboration with Dgtis?
Dgtis, with its vision expertise unique on the market, plays a key role in our increasingly advanced automation projects. Thanks to them, the fields of AI, deep learning and automatic surface quality control are becoming a concrete reality rather than just a futuristic subject. In addition, we are currently developing a new HMI for the BULA POLIGO range. This promises to be a real "game changer" in terms of machine handling.

What factors led to the decision to outsource the new operating system for your new machines?
After 15 years of use, we have decided to upgrade the operating system of our machines in 2021. When we drew up the specifications for this new platform, we saw that there was a real digital shift to negotiate. Ciposa specializes in the development of automation systems, but we didn't have a team of software developers.
so we decided to outsource the development of our new operating system and user interface (UI).
Dgtis has demonstrated all the skills needed to bridge the gap between the worlds of software and automation, and provides us with a range of advanced, future-proof technological building blocks that we can assemble to provide our customers with solutions that meet their expectations.
How did you weigh up the risks versus benefits of entrusting such a strategic element to an external company? company?
The operating system of our machines is an eminently strategic element, and thanks to Dgtis, we have access to a standard framework (Orchestria) that enables us to develop our own business applications quickly and efficiently, while retaining control and ownership. What's more, these large, complex developments represent a substantial investment. By entrusting it to a specialized company, we are able to pool costs and guarantee the ongoing, robust evolution of the software.
What benefits have you seen since outsourcing the commissioning of this new platform?
Thanks to our collaboration, since 2022 we have been able to offer software modules on our machines that significantly enhance the customer experience, from set-up to training and after-sales service, while integrating new functionalities. For example, we have developed a CNC lacquer application machine, controlled by a CAM module (3D programming) directly integrated into the machine. We have also recently developed a complex multi-cell machine with a unique dual HMI design.
